Staxyn works by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing muscles throughout the body and redirecting a larger quantity of unused blood to the penis. Men taking it report harder and longer lasting erections. After the blood flow decreases and the erection will decrease on its own like normal.

Be sure to tell your doctor if you take nitrates such as (doxazosin mesylate), Minipress® (prazosin HCl Hytrin® (terazosin HCl), Flomax® (tamsulosin HCl), Cardura® (doxazosin mesylate), Minipress® (prazosin HCl) or Uroxatral® (alfuzosin HCl). Always be sure to tell your doctor if you take medicine to treat or prevent abnormal heartbeat such as quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone and sotalol ritonavir (Norvir®) or indinavir sulfate (Crixivan®) ketoconazole or itraconazole (such as Nizoral® or Sporanox®) erythromycin or other medicines or treatments for ED.
