Aldara (imiquimod) is a topical cream which is used to treat several commonly found skin conditions including external genital warts (EGW), which is caused by the (Human Papilloma Virus) HPV, actinic keratosis (AK) on the face or scalp, and superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC). Most often, Aldara is used to treat genital warts as a form of non-intrusive, very effective and painless topical treatment.
Aldara works by activating the body’s natural immune system defense and targeting the area of the skin where the infection of the virus occurs. Aldara is not an antiviral prescription medication, rather, it is an immune system activator that has been shown to have tremendous results and has been proven to be very effective when properly used to treat common skin conditions such as EGW, AK, and sBCC.
There are countless benefits to using Aldara topical cream. The main benefit would be the proper medical treatment and eradication of your symptoms or conditions as opposed to subjecting yourself to painful outpatient surgery that may or may not be effective. Many patients prefer the non-intrusive and painless method of which Aldara offers them as opposed to subjecting themselves to surgical procedures. Aldara has been shown to offer patients a surprising 82% success rate during the clinical trials—where all of the patients involved in the vehicle test group showed cessation of wart growths by 12 weeks of treatment.
Living with any STD can be very detrimental for anybody who is afflicted by it. However, you do not have to live to genital warts. While it may seem that there is no hope out there for your symptoms, there actually is—that hope lies in a small tube of topical gel which is easily applied just two days a week. In 16 weeks or less you can easily, efficiently and painlessly eradicate all of your wart growths and find the relief that you so desperately are seeking, and that you so greatly deserve.
Like all prescription drugs, there are some potential side effects which can occur from using Aldara topical cream to treat your symptoms. It is worth noting that during the clinical trials these side effects occurred in less than 5% of the patients receiving treatment from Aldara.
